Course Description

The ABYC Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Certification Course is designed for the marine technician that has at least a rudimentary level of experience and/or prior training in working with these systems. The ABYC certification course consists of two and a half days of extensive material review. The certification exam will be administered after lunch of the third day of this program.

Topics will include:

Both AC and DC electrical systems related to refrigeration
Air Management Systems
Related Plumbing Systems
Refrigeration Systems
Troubleshooting and repair of system mechanical components
Installation and troubleshooting of reverse-cycle air conditioning systems
