Course Description
To be an effective designer today, you need tools to quickly develop your designs and communicate them to everyone in the product development, research, marketing, manufacturing, and/or construction process. This is an introductory level workshop utilizing Rhinoceros 3D software, taught by a certified Rhino 3D instructor. This software can accurately model any shape or design. Start with a sketch, drawing, physical model, scan data, or only an idea - Rhino provides the tools to accurately model and document your designs ready for rendering, animation, drafting, engineering, analysis, and construction. Rhino can create, edit, analyze, document, render, and translate NURBS curves, surfaces, and solids with no limits on complexity, degree, or size. Participants should have previous knowledge of basic drafting and design practices. On Days 1 and 2, participants will learn the fundamentals involved in CAD and drafting techniques and practices using Rhino. Day 3 (which is optional) will cover practical applications, and allow students to put the knowledge gained in the first 2 days to work using real examples. At the end of the course, the student will possess the ability to draw dimensioned views of drawings, auxiliary views, lines plans, and comprehend and analyze construction drawings. The course size is limited to 12 to allow each participant hands-on experience using the software in the MSTC computer lab.Registration Information
